UF Astraeus will host a 30-minute public seminar at First Magnitude Brewery on January 15th with Anna-Lisa Paul. The goal of this is to help us meet, connect, and better understand the full scope of space-related work being done here in Gainesville. These talks will be open to all who are interested in space.
Anna-Lisa Paul is the Director of UF’s Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research, and a longtime spaceflight scientist. In 2021, Dr. Paul and her colleague Dr. Rob Ferl did something no one had done before – grew plants in the Lunar dust that the Apollo astronauts brought back from the moon.
Join us to learn about Dr. Paul’s experiment and how plants will help us go back to the moon and on to Mars!
