Jordan Callaham holds a B.S. in Horticultural Sciences and an M.Ag. in Animal Sciences, both from the University of Florida. She has made significant contributions to space research and development as a Research Coordinator III at UF’s Horticultural Sciences Department. At the UF Space Plants Lab, she led the development of deployable plant imaging hardware for controlled environment agriculture (CEA), as well as for orbital and suborbital platforms. Jordan has fostered key partnerships with organizations such as NASA, CASIS/ISS National Lab, the Florida Space Grant Consortium as well as industry partners.  She has experience with payload integration various platforms, including orbital, suborbital, parabolic, and high-altitude balloons.

Previously, Jordan served as the State Events Coordinator for the Florida 4-H Youth Development IFAS/Extension Program, managing numerous state, regional, and national events for UF faculty and youth. Currently, in her role at the Astraeus Space Institute, she ensures the day-to-day operations in support of faculty research and education. As Assistant Director of Administration, Jordan aims to bridge the gap between available resources and research awareness within the university and with external partners. Her commitment to creating inclusive and innovative spaces fosters an environment where all individuals can thrive and contribute to the advancement of space research and higher education.
